Dentist In Bakersfield CA - Jonathan H. Garger, DMD

I was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of
Pittsburgh for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. After earning a

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science, I continued on to earn my Doctorate of Dental Medicine
(DMD) in 1989. Following dental school, I worked as an Associate Dentist in
Sarver, Pennsylvania. In 1990, I left the private sector to become a
Dental Officer in the Dental Corps of the United States Air Force. During
the Desert Shield/Storm period of 1990-1993, I was stationed at both the
George AFB near Victorville, California and the Travis AFB in Fairfield,
California.

After separating from the service, I was employed at a number of dental
offices as an Associate Dentist. This is where I learned a great deal about
what the worked and what didn't work for a private dental practice, along
with what were the best
ways to care for patients and all of their dental needs. In 1999, I
acquired a dental practice from Dr.
Thomas Sherman, who I later found had some of the nicest patients I had
ever met! I was very happy with the staff and patients, but the office
was dated and in need of upgrades...
In order to establish a facility worthy of my patients, I invested almost
$2 million to build my dream dental office, here in the Riverwalk Medical
Plaza on Stockdale Highway in 2008. I feel that it is the nicest dental
office in Bakersfield and most people who have visited Gentle Family
Dentistry agree. It is the nicest dental office in Bakersfield.

In my private time, I have a special interest in the Theatre Arts, American
History, and Broadway Musicals. We are proud sponsors of the Gaslight
Melodrama Theater. I am also a former Eagle Scout and supporter of the Boy
Scouts, who develop skills and ethics in our youth (which is needed now
more than ever).

Professionally, my most significant passion is being a Dentist in
Bakersfield who is able to serve the dental needs of the wonderful people
in our community. My personal commitment is to continue to improve my
dental skills through continuous education courses and training, in order
to provide the highest possible standard of dental care to each of my
patients. Our motto:
"Hi-Tech dentistry with old time care" is our daily mission to you.
